Fenerbahçe Show in Kadiköy: 4 - 0

ISTANBUL, Apr 22 (SW) - Fenerbahçe went level on points with Galatasaray on Saturday with a 4-0 win over their bitter rivals at the Sükrü Saraçoglu stadium.

Ghanaian international Stephen Appiah gave the home side the lead after just 13 minutes before Fábio Luciano doubled the advantage just seven minutes later and the home side went to the break with the 2-0 lead.

Things got worse for Galatasaray right after the restart when they were reduced to ten players with the second yellow card issued to Alioum Sadiou.

Fenerbahçe took advantage and scored a third goal in the 70th minute through Brazilian midfielder Alex, and Nicolas Anelka capped off the rout with a strike 12 minutes from time.

The result leaves the two sides level on 74 points, but Fenerbahçe have a +53 goal differential as opposed to Galatasaray's +40.

There are three rounds left to play in this Turkish Super Lig season with the winner going into the third qualifying round of the Champions League, and the runner-up into the second qualifying round.

Christoph Daum's Fenerbahçe side are in search of their third consecutive Turkish league title and are in the final of the Turkish Cup against Besiktas.
